I had to think about this month's photo blogging challenge theme - pooch. Our family does not include a dog. My sister's family's dog, friends' dogs or dogs seen while walking/hiking might have worked. Or dog portraits. But I wanted to find a way to make the theme fit the things we love to do every month...and I did!
This year, we cycled the Rocky Mountain Legacy Trail from mid-May through mid-October, when the trail officially closed for the winter. Thanks to a wide range of extensions available on either end, our rides ranged from 53 to 86 km and included a good mix of destinations in both Canmore and Banff. Amazing scenery and minimal elevation change make this a "must ride" trail for those visiting Canmore/Banff during the riding season.
I woke up this morning (deadline day) knowing I still had to take at least one more photograph for this month's challenge.
