There's so much jingle-jangle during the holiday season: Salvation Army Santa's at donation boxes, Christmas music streaming from the speakers in every store, the tiny bells attached to my holiday socks, and my nerves after a long-day of shopping or too much holiday hostessing! No wonder PBC host PJ assigned Jingle All the Way for this month's theme. 🙂
For the past several years, Lego has released holiday bonus sets - usually two per year. These sets are only available with a minimum purchase, starting on Black Friday. The first 2019 bonus set is the biggest one yet - in terms of the minimum price threshold, the piece count and the completed height. It's a lovely Christmas tree, and is a welcome addition to our mantelpiece holiday decor.

Most of us use glasses every day. Those blessed with 20/20 vision sport sunglasses and lift drinking glasses. Those who need corrective lenses to experience anything close to 20/20 eyesight have a spending category labelled prescription glasses. For this month's PBC theme, I aimed to take photos of many different kinds of glasses. I didn't get any of magnifying glasses or rose-coloured glasses. Over the past twenty years or so, our Christmas celebrations have shifted away from presents towards presence. This year our celebrations included preparing and enjoying several meals with extended family and friends, movie and board game nights with our young adult sons, and plenty of nature walks for the two of us! It was a Merry Christmas, indeed!
