The morning of July 5 we checked out and headed northeast, via Stevens Pass, towards Osoyoos, BC, for a few days R&R with Mrs. GeoKs’ parents.
Highlights of the day included the Tumwater Canyon section of the drive, where we found seven or eight geocaches, following the route The Pathman took on his trip home from Geowoodstock. This was extremely fortunate for us, as we had the pleasure of meeting him at Geowoodstock VIII, PLUS he left several of his pathtags in the caches he’d found. We were happy to pick some of them up and leave our own behind.
Driving up the valley on Highway 97, we stopped at a couple of earthcaches, including this one just outside Peshastin…
…it was REALLY hot, so we’ll have to make a return visit some day if we want to go for a bit of a hike in this area. The earthcache in Lincoln Rock State Park was also a drive-up sort of an earthcache. These two brought our total earthcache find count for the trip up to eleven.
