For me life enjoyed = feeling fulfilled and satisfied, with good friends, positive family relationships, and time spent in the pursuit of meaningful activities. This month's photo blogging challenge was to capture that concept in five photographs.

Our family enjoys outdoor adventures in the beautiful southwest corner of Alberta: hiking, biking, nature photography and geocaching are some of our favourite activities.
We started hiking as a family in 2004, when our youngest was 4 years old. We started geocaching in 2006, when our friends "Sears Tower" introduced us to high-tech treasure hunting. We especially enjoy earthcaches. We've been slowly migrating from paved path cycling to single-track riding. And as far as photography goes, we've been improving our skills ever since I started blogging about our outdoor adventures in 2008.
I blog mainly to create a family journal that includes all of our outdoor adventures. It’s a convenient way for extended family to find out about what we’ve been up to, when and if they want. Beyond those entirely selfish reasons, I like to think I'm providing some visitors to Calgary, Canmore, Banff National Park and Kananaskis Country with information that will help them choose between between the many of hiking options available.

Out and About in Trondheim, Norway
Although we crammed a lot into an evening plus a full day in Trondheim, there was so much more to see and do. Norway's third largest city is on our "we'd like to return" list.

Highlights from a short visit to Kristainsund, Norway include exploring the harbour and an excursion to the fishing village of Grip. Construction delays meant we weren't able to visit the new Normia cultural center, which looks to be an architectural and cultural landmark.
