Our week of small group guided hiking in the northwest Scottish Highlands took us up Col Mor, Suilven and Stac Pollaidh, among others. We also enjoyed a couple of lighthouse walks, a beach walk, a Summer Isles cruise, lots of history and some fantastic contemporary Scottish music. In fact, Peat and Diesel have been added to some of my playlists!
Suilven is the western-most peak in Assynt and makes the list of Scotland's "Grahams." At more than 20 km and over 1,000 meters elevation gain, it was our "biggest" hiking day during our two weeks of guided hiking in Scotland.
Any other month, I'd be sharing photos related to birding, gardening, walking, kayaking, cycling, cooking and other activities that are part of my "normal" life. But since we traveled for most of May, this month's photos provide a sneak peek at a series of upcoming blog posts, but not much insight into my "usual" life.
