Time to tame the geocoin madness

It happens every 6 or 8 weeks…geocoins have been arriving, sometimes just one, but usually a few at a time…
Eventually, the small cardboard box that sits on the corner of my desk gets so full that I can’t ignore it anymore. And then I spend a good part of the day sorting through them, photographing them, activating some and storing some for future trades. By the time I’m finished updating the Excel spreadsheet inventory I always promise myself to not let the coins pile up!
With close to 500 geocoins in various binders and storage boxes, keeping track of them all using Excel is getting a little cumbersome. Perhaps it’s time to look into those online tracking systems that have a database of photos and coin specifications and possibly even facilitate trading. Anyone have a recommendation?
